At Jay Nail Spa, the goal is simple: nails that look good when you leave and still look good a week later. The Birmingham salon has built its client list on that kind of consistency, and plenty of people have been coming for years.


You can book a manicure, a pedicure or both. Gel polish is popular with anyone who types all day or works with their hands, since it resists chipping. Acrylics and dip powder are available for added length or strength, and fills keep an existing set looking fresh. For pedicures, the technicians soak, scrub and massage before shaping and painting, which makes it a good way to unwind after a long week.

Not every visit has to be a big one. A quick polish change is fine too.

Kids and teens are welcome with a parent, and the staff is patient with first-timers who aren’t sure what to ask for.

    Jay Nails is a beautiful, well kept salon with many skilled nail techs. Customer service was on point, my nails are to die for (thank you, Kevin!), and I can’t wait to come back!

    I refuse to go anywhere except Jay Nails. They only use OPI 😇 and Jay will do my nails himself if it’s busy 🥰 the music is ambient, they have drinks, and there is always something good on TV. Out of a million nail places, this is the 1. …

    I go here often for waxing and nails! Every visit has been excellent, and Natalie and Brian are particularly amazing. If you are looking for high quality nail art and up-to-date nail trends/technology, ask for Brian! 10/10 every time. Love Jay nail!

    I always have the best experience here! I have very bad anxiety about social settings but everyone here has been so nice and talked to me while I’m getting my nails done! Kevin always does an amazing job! He even did something a little special this time for me to make my nails shine! Thank you Kevin!
